Right then. Bank holiday almost over.

Who am I?

My name's Simon.

Where am I?

London.

Why am I doing this?

Mostly boredom I suppose. It's bank holiday Monday and nobody seems to be around. Add to that the weather is underwhelming and you get me on the computer, listening to the new Graham Coxon album, and writing my first ever blog (do you write a blog, or blog it, or tell it, or what?). I'm also closely following the latest goings on at Darlington FC - my football team (not mine personally). They're in administration you see, victims of an unscrupulous Chairman. Apparently there are a lot of media bods hanging around the club this afternoon, so some kind of announcement could be forthcoming. I'm awaiting one eagerly.

I'd hoped to get to the pub today, my local pub, the Rose. It's the best pub in the world you see. Alas, I've nobody to go pubbing with and so I find myself here. I've tidied my room, even hoovered (vacuum cleansed), and now I've got nothing else to do.

Another upshot of the bank holiday is the complete reworking of the TV schedule. I don't watch a great deal of TV, but what I do watch is Heroes. Thanks to the Bank Holiday it doesn't seem to be on tonight though. Thanks bank holiday. Thanks a lot. You giveth a day off work, and you taketh away my favourite TV programme. Actually, it may be the snooker, but either way I'm unimpressed.

If anything else crops up I'll let you know.

This is exciting and new for me. Give me a minute....
